Bonus Weekend Blogging

To make up for not hosting this week’s P&P Weekly I thought I would offer a bonus weekend post for your viewing pleasure.

I found a couple of free moments between setup and our start time so I wandered out into the large gathering area outside of the ballroom and shot off a few out the windows. This one is looking down the street at City Hall in Springfield, MA.

It is a composite of two shots that I auto-aligned and masked in Photoshop to remove a few cars driving down the street and use the yellow light instead of the green. Then I spot-healed a few reflections on the window and brought into Lightroom 2 Beta to process it as a B&W. One of the features I like in LR2 is the Post-Crop Vignette. That’s one of the things that has always frustrated me in LR1 and I’m glad the team worked it out for this version.
