Sennelier and Eiffel Tower
Lightroom, Paris, Personal, Photography, Travel May 24th. 2008, 5:02pmA few months ago as Kim and I were figuring out what we wanted to do while in Paris we saw an episode of Art and the City on Ovation. There, we were told of this little art supply shop called Sennelier where artists such as Cézanne, Gauguin, Soutine, Modigliani, Kandinsky, Bonnard, Picasso, Cocteau and others came to find just the right colors for their master works. So, of course, we just had to go!
The man who runs the place caught on to the fact that we were Americans and started chatting with us about where we’re from and the like. Turns out, he’s been to Syracuse and has friends at Golden Artist Colors from here in Upstate NY - whose products he sells in the store.
The other shots are both of and from the Eiffel Tower - if that wasn’t already obvious…

I really like your top photograph from the Sennelier here. I’ve come back to look at it a few times. Very interesting!

Sennelier is a very famous art supply maker. They make some of the finest pastels and oils in the world. They are sold in the high end art stores. What a treat to be able to visit them
