“Late-Blog” Friday

13 Jun 2008 by Jason D. Moore, No Comments »

My apologies for leaving everyone hanging today. It’s been a crazy couple of days on the work front – more to come on that next week.

We are on the road this weekend at the University of Maryland Eastern Shore providing video for the Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church in this region of the US.

We got up at around 4:30am Thursday – after only about 2 hours of sleep - and were on the road for about 8 hours. Once we got here, we were busy flying equipment, climbing catwalks, and setting up for an additional 13 hours… There really is nothing like pulling up a 1-ton chain hoist 30 feet to a hot, dusty catwalk with a rope while the event’s organist rehearses the same hymns at full volume for a few hours. Needless to say, my body hates me right now.

Sleep became the top priority and I didn’t have time to prepare today’s edition of Geographic Composition – let alone shoot anything for it. But fear not, I will hopefully be receiving the rest of the submissions by tomorrow (hint, hint) and I’ll put it together for posting on Monday and delay the next P&P Weekly a day or two so I have a chance to recover a little when I get home Sunday night.

Thanks for the really nice comments from my Paris photos! They were nice to read when I got back to the hotel after another long day.

In the meantime, have a great weekend and I’ll be back to a more regular schedule next week!
