Senior Picture Time

24 Oct 2008 by Jason D. Moore, No Comments »

I’ll be the first to admit that I’m not really a portrait photographer. I have a little bit of experience – I worked at a JCPenney Portrait Studio for a season in high school and I’ve shot a couple of pictorial directories – but it’s not the type of photography I excell at. But, when my sister-in-law, Sarah, asked me to do her senior pictures this past weekend, what could I say?

The above shot was taken at the park across from our apartment last Sunday and was initially processed in LR1 – I know, I’m itching to get my hands on LR2 – and then had a number of adjustments done in PS CS3. I’m not quite finished with it. There are still some stray hairs and I still need to tweak the overall color, tone, and sharpening a little. But, boy is it a lot closer than it was!

I’ve got a few more that I’m going to work on before sending them over to her – including a few more outside, a couple of poses with her guitar, and a more formal sitting in my studio garage. As I have the chance to work on those, I’ll post my favorites here.

Until then, have a great weekend everybody!
