Points of View Photo Project Source Image #21

As promised, we are starting the Points of View Photo Project back up with the new year!

I’m adding in a couple of elements though that will hopefully make this project more interactive, not only for our participants, but for the readers as well. Read more, after the jump.

First off, a little explanation. If you’re new to the Points of View Project, each week I post an unaltered source image that readers are free to download and manipulate in any way that they like. By Thursday, they send their edited version back to me which I will add to the collection from that week and post here on the blog. Anyone may grab the image and give it a shot. It’s great to see so many different takes on a common starting image.

New this year, I’m asking everyone who submits an image to write up a few sentences about what they did to process the photo to help others understand how the effects were achieved in case they would like to try it out for themselves. Also, if you’re submitting a shot, be sure to include your name, location, and URL so I can properly credit your version.

Next, I am inviting any of you out there to submit your own photos to act as our source images. Just email me your unaltered out-of-the-camera photo (sized to 1000px on the longest side @72 dpi) to pov@jasondmoore.com and let me know if you would like to me list your name or keep it anonymous.

Now, to this week’s source image!

Simply click on the image above to open the full size version in a new window, download it to your computer, edit it however you like, and email the finished image – along with your description and other info – back to me at pov@jasondmoore.com by Thursday at 8pm EST to be included.

Happy Editing!
